outfit of the day | [star] studded denim jacket

It was Monday, the 19th of December. I was about to go to a children's party (birthday party to be exact) with my 3-year old daughter and hubby. I checked my closet what to wear and this cropped denim grey jacket caught my attention. So I was thinking, why not pair it with a casual dress? I tried it on and voila! it came out nice. Then I remember  I have leopard (I really don't know what's it called) printed sequined mary jane shoes and luckily it has grey and black or black and grey print.

This is the look:

get the look | instagram

Hello everyone!
I'm gonna be posting "Get the Look" series here. It'll be the look of a celebrity, a model, the people I follow on Instagram, the photos I looked on the web. It could be anything or anyone. Well, I'll be like wearing the "Look" of that person. Most of the things I wear will just be on my closet that I already have.

Scroll down if you like it.

I got this look from Instagram @ tuulavintage (follow them)

diy | no sew tutu

So as I've promised, here's the look!
♥ No Sew Tutu made by her Ninay ♥
I posted a sneak peek on Instagram @myeapprentice
Sneak Peek
Ninay (this is what she calls her Auntie Ann), her Auntie chelle and I were in the kitchen having our breakfast. It just came to my mind that Kady was asking me to make a ballerina dress for days now. She's not into ballet lesson. Here in my town, we don't have any school for ballet. We have to go to the nearest city and it is 2 hours drive from here. I don't think it's a good idea. If she will enroll, by the time we get there she'll be tired as well. Honestly, She just got the idea from Disney Junior's Angelina Ballerina. From then on, she always dance the steps that Angelina taught from TV and started asking me where she can get ballerina dresses.

As a mommy, I looked from the internet how to make a tutu. Thanks to  youtube, I got the idea that you can make one without sewing and it's cheaper. All you need is just simple things that you actually have at home. If you wanna get the look, keep on reading. I'll tell you what we did.

What you need:

4 yards of tulle (whatever color you like and how many yards)
3 yards of satin ribbon
Scissors
Ruler

Here's how:

Measure your little girl's waist. Tie a knot on each end of the size of the waist (make sure you add another 20 inches on each end for a ribbon)
Unfold the tulle. Roll up. As you roll the tulle, you wanna make sure that it has no wrinkle on it. Once you get all the way rolled up, what you wanna do is to cut the edge where the thickest part is. Measure every 3 inches and cut. Cut a bunch of it. After that, get your tulle and fold it in half and cut. But if you want a longer tutu, just fold it or keep it one length. Okay, take the tulle and fold it in half and then tie it in the ribbon. Make a loop and pull the other pieces through. Pull tight all the way to the knot. Keep doing this until you get to the end.

For the tutu that we made, we did one of each color. One purple then one pink (alternate). It's really fast. It will take probably half an hour to 45 minutes. So, have fun in making your tutu.

More pictures....

Then, I put on her purple blouse, light pink stockings with flowers and her sequinned doll shoes.

Make a bun on her hair and add head piece to make the look complete.

Now she's happy and pretty!
We decided that she's gonna wear it on her Christmas party in school this coming Saturday. I'm gonna post some of the pictures here, too!

random | how classic!

I know! These are All Star Converse Chuck Taylor High

"So little, so cute" Lines from her Ninay

We got this from her Uncle Roy's daughter Raya. In the Philippines, people give things to their family, friends, relatives old stuff (clothes, shoes, gadgets, etc.) they have to be used for instead of keeping it or putting away. They always have "pamana" or heir of their things which is good for us. :) Especially baby clothes and shoes. Babies grow fast so some of the things they have were almost brand new or never been used. Like these shoes, Raya only used it once, so it's like getting a brand new toots.

I don't mind if my friends or family give my little one used clothing or shoes, even toys. As long as they give it from the heart and my daughter is happy, why not? It's a way of saving money, too! That's one of my mommy secret AGAIN. hahahah!

So, that's pretty much it about the shoes.

I already post this in IG (instagram)

outfit of the day | ♥ baby love ♥

Hello everyone, I will be blogging about my daughter's OOTD (outfit of the day). It's not much but I really like to dress her up, put head piece on her, mix match the shoes and try new things on her. If I feel that it's too much well, I change her clothes many times to get the perfect look. Just kidding, but one or three times. *wink
I picture the outfit first on my mind then execute it with her with the clothes present on her closet. It's not expensive things or clothes that she wears. My mommy secret is to buy cheap clothes and accessories but looks expensive. I have to make sure the quality is good too. I don't invest for cheap clothes for poor quality. You can find inexpensive clothes for your little one in good quality too. That's what being a mom was born, i guess. Right mommies???? Of course you want the best for your kids, but having a great deal on clothes is another thing. You can invest your money on other things. That's for me. I'm a bargain mommy. Shhhh!!!!

Well, here's my first blog of her OOTD. I'll be keeping in you touch very often. Some will be randomly blogs, but I'm pretty sure that's it's more of my daughter.

OOTD: Going to School
*Yes, that's her baby Kingkong. She loves to bring one toy each day in school. And yes again, the stripes pouch is where I put her foods for recess.

Picture taken from my iphone. It's has a littlle defect but it's still working so I don't mind. :)

Hope you guys love this. Tell me what you think....
